Mission

Doing our part, here in the SF East Bay to accelerate the transition to sustainable transport by bringing Tesla fans and owners together whether by education, friendship, philanthropy, or special events and Tesla meetups.

Goals

1. Education
-

Educating the public on the benefits of Electric Vehicles is a building block to creating a more sustainable planet and to fight the effects of climate change and the general misunderstandings about the brand and the products.

2. Friendship
-

Tesla Owners East Bay (TOEB) is an all inclusive, and safe car club. We have members of all ages, color, creed, & orientation. What matters most is the community we seek to build together through our passion for Tesla and EVs.

3. Philanthropy
-

Beyond our love for our cars is the love we want to give back to our planet, and of course our community we call home. We want our passion and love to be felt by those around us and those in need.

4. Events & Meetups
-

And of course we meet up and talk cars! Gathering together people from new EV adopters to days to talk custom mods, volunteer events, dine & drives, long road trips, social events and more!

With the SF bay area ground zero for the EV revolution, and Tesla Fremont factory in our own backyard, it was odd to have a region as diverse as the east bay lacking an official Tesla owners club. Wilmer, the tech and Tesla enthusiast, was an original member of Tesla Owners Silicon Valley (TOSV) our sister club, despite living 63 miles north in Benicia. AL, a resident of Lafayette later teamed up with Wilmer. Chad, of Concord, also a TOSV club member, joined the team shortly after our first meetup.

One thing was certain, they all agreed, something had to change.

There was a huge demand for the East Bay to have its own local Tesla owners club. So in fall of 2019, we banded together and launched our first meetup in Benicia, California. With a tiny RSVP list, and barely a week’s notice, the first meet up was almost triple the size anticipated and thus, the movement to launch Tesla Owners East Bay was born.
